Do I need to create an account?

No account needed. Open the tool and start creating invoices immediately. All your data is saved automatically in your browser's localStorage — no server, no sign-up.

Does InvoiceTool support GST invoices for India?

Yes. You can set a custom GST or VAT percentage and it calculates automatically. The invoice shows subtotal, tax amount, and total due. INR (₹) is the default currency.

Can I generate a UPI QR code on my invoice?

Yes. Enter your UPI ID (e.g. yourname@upi) and a scannable QR code appears on the invoice. Your client scans with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, or BHIM and the amount is pre-filled. If you've recorded partial payments, the QR shows only the outstanding amount.

Can I track partial payments?

Yes. The Partial Payments section lets you record multiple payments with dates and methods. The invoice shows each received payment and calculates the outstanding balance automatically.

Can I save my client details for reuse?

Yes. Save up to 20 client profiles in the Client Book. When creating a new invoice, pick a client from the dropdown and their name, address, and email fill in instantly — zero re-typing.

How do recurring invoices work?

Click the Repeat button to create a new invoice with the same client, line items, and rates. A new invoice number is auto-generated and the dates reset to today and +30 days. Perfect for monthly retainers.

Is my invoice data private?

Completely private. All your data — client names, amounts, business details — is stored only in your browser's localStorage. Nothing is sent to any server. InvoiceTool has no database.

How many invoices can I have open at once?

Up to 20 invoices open simultaneously in tabs at the top of the screen. Each tab has its own separate client, items, payments, and status. Switch between them instantly.

Can I send invoices by email?

Yes. Click the Email button, export your PDF, then choose Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo, or your default Mail app. The email opens pre-filled with the correct subject, client email address, and invoice summary in the body.

Can I share an invoice on WhatsApp?

Yes. Click the WhatsApp button in the invoice toolbar to send a formatted invoice summary — client name, total, outstanding balance, and due date — directly to any WhatsApp contact or group.

Does InvoiceTool have a dashboard?

Yes. The Dashboard page shows total revenue, pending amount, paid invoices, and overdue count. It includes a 6-month revenue bar chart and a full filterable invoice table. Access it from the invoice toolbar or footer.

Can I export or back up my invoice data?

Yes. From the History panel, export your invoice history as a CSV spreadsheet (opens correctly in Excel with currency symbols intact) or download a full JSON backup that includes history, client profiles, and open drafts. You can restore a backup at any time.
